Calendar Quilt.

So we then decided to try a calendar quilt. Not too happy with the first block (January), but it got better!
January

I used cool colours to depict the cold frosty days for January.

Then onto February, with the heart shapes, red roses & strawberries, to celebrate Valentines day.

February

March

Then came March, pale blues depict cool days with the promise of Spring. Fabrics include daffodils & other Spring flowers.

Then onto April, with fabrics including Easter but with the greys showing April showers.

April

May

May used vibrant flower fabrics as the flowers begin to bloom.

June

For June I chose a block to depict Wimbledon, with grass, tennis rackets and of course strawberries! The block represents the centre court.

July
July shows a riot of colour for the holidays. Seaside themed fabrics and warm colours. (Well we live in hope of that elusive hot summer)!!!!

August

August shows all the fruit that we get towards the Autumn.

For September, I chose cool colours as Autumn approaches, the apple harvest, & back to school.

September

October with it's Autumnal colours & Halloween.

October
Then comes November with a block depicting a Catherine Wheel for Bonfire night.

November

December

And last of all, December. Seasonal colours of green and red, with Christmas fabrics.

The finished article!

AND FINALLY................................................. The finished article! Machine quilted with free motion quilting.
