Favourite places to shop

I thought I would tell you about some of my favourite places to shop.

(I live in Leicestershire in the East Midlands of the UK).

Top of my list for fabric is:

The fabric Guild. (Kisko).
48 Cobden Street, Leicester. LE1 2LB
.
http://www.fabricguild.co.uk/

This is an amazing place in Leicester (situated in  the middle of an industrial estate). It is an American style experience, and sells a wide range of the cheapest and best quality fabrics anywhere. Also a wide range of waddings, haberdashery, wool etc. Only open fridays & Sundays (& sometimes Thursdays).
Have a look at the website for more details.

Economy Fabrics
44 Heath Rd  Holmewood,
Chesterfield, Derbyshire S42 5RA

Just off junction 29 of the M1. A lovely shop that sells all sorts of fabrics, and ribbons by the bucketfull! (Literally)! THE place to go for ribbons, you won't get them cheaper anywhere else. Staff very happy to cut fabric to whatever length you want.

A bit further afield is
Heirs & Graces (Patchwork Direct)
Dale Road North
Darley Dale Derbyshire
DE4 2HX

Very good range of fabrics. Not the cheapest, but I got most of my fruit & veg fabrics from there.

Even further afield is an amazing shop I discovered on a trip to Scarborough.

I try to make an annual pilgrimage there as it is AMAZING! This shop is so stocked with fabric, it is hard to take it all in!
It is called
The Sewing Centre (Scarborough).
54-56 Aberdeen Walk
Scarborough.

Really good price, fantastic range of fabrics, and well worth a visit.

Just off the A5 at Weedon, is a lovely shop called:
Bramble Patch.
West Street, Weedon,
Nothants.
NN7 4QU

Wide range of fabrics. Not the cheapest, but certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. (You can always combine the visit with a trip to Heart of the Shires shopping village that is nearby on the A5).
Variety of shops, including a 'Quilts & Crafts' unit. (I always have a rummage in their 'Bargain bin')!

Another shop I love is Cath Kidston (not in Leicester yet, but nearest is Nottingham or Leamington Spa). I get inspiration from her range every time I see it.

Anyway, if you know of any other good places to shop, leave a comment. If I discover any more gems on my travels, I will update this page, so keep looking!!
